How To Make Bass Tremolos Pop (Without Sounding Dry)?
So I'm working on a section of my song wherein both the cellos & the double basses are performing a rhythm of tremolos while the other instruments play the melody.
This is what I envision the sound to be like (from Kung Fu Panda 2's "Po Finds the Truth")
However, my work sounds dry. Although the section I'm working on does the tremolos, it just severely lacks and further reverb/bass , and I don't know any techniques I can employ (either on the sheet music or the Mixer).
I've attached my work below so you may look into it and provide feedback.
More info about the MSCZ file (to retain its structure on your computer):
- Last Updated on MuseScore v4.4.4
- MuseSounds is the only sound font used here (only that)
- Mixer uses "ShapeIt" plugin by Soundly from Muse Hub (I've attached the XML preset below for you to drop on "\Documents\Soundly\Shape it\User Presets\")
Thanks for your feedback in advance!

Is there a particular reason you used tremolo in the bass? The link audio has a ton of reverb. Yet you have turned it off in your score. Or is that because of the plugin.

Is this a little closer? I changes a few measures. I didn't use the plugin.

Frankly, that is very close to the sound I'm looking for--even without MuseFX & ShapeIt plugins! I see that you used double stops on the double bass to make the tremolos deeper.
And back to your 2 questions in your previous post:
1. The singer will be singing over the section repeatedly with devastating words as his lyrics (alongside some crying too), so I wanted tremolos in bass to represent the the fast heart beats when singing so painfully (and the gravity of saying such words).
