Drum notations and drum voices
Hi, I'm a new Musescore user and I've just recently started to try and notate some drum notations on the score. But it seems like having the cross stick/snare drum/ and high hat set to the same voice, you can only put one of the three when composing rhythms, since it seems like you can't put, for example, high hat and snare drum together as one beat at the same time. In other words, the moment you put one or the other, the previous registered notation on the same voice disappears and gets replaced. For instance, let's say I had notated a eighth note high hat on one quarter rest as voice 1, the second I tried to add the snare drum at the same place, the high hat disappears and gets replaced by the snare drum. Can someone tell me how do you fix this?

After entering the high hat, to enter the snare (in the same voice), hold Shift, then enter the snare.
Welcome aboard, and be advised that drum notation is set for a new percussion system in the upcoming MuseScore Studio version 4.5.
See:

and look for "New percussion system".

where you can test drive the upcoming version 4.5.
It's the equivalent of a "chord" in a pitched instrument. Enter note 1 (a "C" in a pitched instrument, or a snare drum), then Shift+enter note 2 (an "E" in the pitched instrument, or a high hat).
