Creating a soundfont can be done, but it's a ton of work. You'd need soundfont editing software; do a search around to find some and information on how to use it.

Hi there,

As Marc says you need soundfont editing software. You don't mention which OS you are working on, but there are a number around.

You may find this Howto by Lasconic helpful.

Alternatively you can start using JACK to interface MuseScore with external VSTs, synths and samplers. I can guide you through the setup process with this for Windows - it is a little tricky to set up, but once you've done it you can send the MIDI stream from MuseScore to any 3rd party music application such as Sonar X2, Cubase or Logic.
