Fixing the new percussion panel

I'm not sure if these have all been stated already in separate posts but here's my gripes with the new percussion panel.

  • Make the "O" shortcut to open and close the panel obvious. Add it as button to the panel - in fact, since everyone is having a hard time figuring out where the preferences are for it's behavior, add those to the panel too.
  • It needs to be resizeable. One of the best things about the old percussion input panel was that it barely took up any space. It shocks me that this was not obvious. Especially with some kits having 20-30 sounds, I want as few rows as possible to take up as little space as possible.
  • Or, if I was able to dock it to the sides, which I am unable to, I would want fewer columns. With the notes being pads you'd think this would be a great use case for the panel, but the program doesn't let you. It feels like the worst of both worlds.
  • Let me rearrange the pads and change the "chromatic" order. I frequently use the up/down arrows for instruments like tonal bass drums. For some reason the mapping for muse sounds drumlines is different and IMO worse than MDL was. It would be nice to have the option.
  • The layout of the pad itself is also not great, there's so much negative space, it makes the shortcuts seem less obvious, and adding the keyboard note name at the same level is confusing. Maybe adding some separation, or keeping the keyboard shortcut above instead of below like the legacy panel.

You can open the drum palette by clicking in the drum staff, and close it by clicking in a blank place in the score. This works best for mousers
You can resize it a bit by dragging the edges smaller.
You can edit the layout. Select layout and Edit layout. Drag things where you want.
Use Customize Kit to change voices as well as many other things. And delete sounds you don't need in the kit.

This doesn't fix the issues I stated:
Resizing it does not change the size of the pads, or the amount of columns. Therefore the size of the panel doesn't really matter, so if I want to see all of the pads the panel takes up at least 1/4 of my screen.

Dragging pads where I want them does not change the chromatic value of the pad. It remains the same.

It's really annoying now that when you click any percussion measure, that huge block shows up and covers the measure you selected....why do we break stuff that doesn't need to be fixed? Come on guys, it's unnecessary!

Is there a way to make it NOT pop up in the middle of the screen every time you click a measure with percussion parts? What old version of Musescore do I need to install if I never want to see this palette under any circumstance?
