Percussion Update

Musescores new update has really changed how percussion notation works, and I'm trying to figure out if I can get it back completely to how it was originally. I've already changed the percussion panel to legacy, but note input still feels completely different. In older versions, when selecting a note in the percussion panel (ie. hi-hat, snare, bass drum, etc.) it would lock your inputs to that specific piece of the drum kit unless unselected. After the new update, the panel no longer locks which note I'm inputting, leading to placing notes for the wrong part of the drum kit constantly. If theres a way to revert back to the old system of locking which note is being placed, please let me know.
