Shortcut for set duration
Hi musescore team.
I really appreciate the new note input tool! This helps me a lot.
In order to be faster - as I do not use MuseScore on a regular basis - I would like to reduce the mental mapping I have to do from quarter, eighth notes etc to the number keys.
I reassigned shortcuts. See screen shot.
It happens so, that mapping eighth note duration to the key of 8 does not work.
All others work fine.
If I map eighth to let's say 9 - also works fine.
There was another assignment for 8 which I cleared.
I can't get this to work.
Any help is appreciated.
Mac OS 12.7.6
PS: I also can not figure how to set the number keyboard key or any other modifier such as shift in the shortcuts dialog.

For adding keys from the number pad (or for adding any other 2nd shortcut) you'd need to locate (look in ~/Library/Application\ Support/MuseScore/MuseScore4/) and edit shortcuts.xml directly
Same for Shift or other modifiers in combination with the numbers row

Thanks @Jojo for your response.
The file you are referring to doesn't exist on my system.
I exported the shortcuts, edited them and re-imported.
8 as shortcut on its own still doesn't work.
There might be a conflict I don't see.
Got it work with Num+8 !
So I can continue with my preferred way of editing.
For reference, I attached my shortcuts.xml
BTW: It would be good if one could just reset all shortcuts, without resetting all other modified options in the preferences.

IIRC that is possible, with Preferences > Shortcuts open and the Reset Button

Thanks. I see it now.
The confusion stems from the reset button not being enabled unless one selects an action.
Therefor I thought there was import and export only.
Yet. This is probably what it does : it resets the selected action only?
