Entering notes from a midi keyboard. I'm hearing two notes.

• Mar 31, 2025 - 03:00

I enter notes onto my score using a midi keyboard. ( turn the sound off on my midi keyboard) all sounds are coming from the computer)
I write trumpet scores. My trumpets are BFlat instruments.
Up until this morning when I pressed "C" on the midi keyboard I would hear Concert pitch "Bflat" from my computer.
If I pressed "Eflat" on the midi keyboard I would hear concert pitch "DFlat"

For some reason I am now hearing two note sounds and this is messing with my brain.
When I press C on the midi keyboard I had a Concert pitch BFlat and Concert pitch C

Thanks for pointing out the feature. I was not aware of this, it will be useful to me for future arrangements.
Unfortunately it did not help.
I thought "Rats there must be an issue with the file so I 'll exported it to MusicXML"

I restarted Musescore APP and imported the mother file and to my surprise the unwanted "Dual note" issue had stopped. I never got to use the MusicXML file.

Be sure you don't have a MIDI loop on your system, where the MIDI output from MuseScore is routed to a device or program that in turns routes it back to MuseScore as input.
