Showing an empty staff for one system or so
In my piece theres a section where only div. 1 is playing. My players requested I add an empty div.2 staff but I dont want that staff showing in places it dosent belong like before A. I want it to show ONLY when theres divisi 1 without anything else like in bars 8-10. Is there a way I can trick the system and display a perfectly empty staff while having hide while empty on?

Trick: Add a white transparent staff text to a measure if the staff you want to stay visible

if u meant pressin V on it it dosent work.
Staff Texts are hidden along with "Hide empty staves within systems" option (and the sub-option "Don't hide empty staves in first system") under "Style" window : "Score", see Templates and styles.
Or did u mean to cane its color to white?

I meant what I wrote, white and transparent, not invisible (because that indeed doesn't work)

how does one do that?

Add staff text, select it, in the properties tab press on apprerance, then color
There set it to white.
Mu4 unfortunalty doesn't support the alpha channel, so no transparency there,
See https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/13652 and https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/23244
Mu3 does though.

... and then the text can be saved into a palette for future use.:
In palette cell properties (accessed by right clicking on the text after it is in the palette) 'Draw staff' can be selected to show the staff lines, as seen in the picture. Although the text is colored white in the score, it shows ok in the palette.
