Has chords_jazz.xml and related logic changed?

I perhaps see some new style customization features under "Chord symbols" -- but this may be my fallible memory. Are there new options? If so, has the behavior of chords_jazz.xml changed in any way? And in general, since I use a customized .xml style, is there some easy way for me to know if this part of the system changes, so that I can update my definitions? I realize I can look in the associated source for how it is processed, but I'm hoping there's a place where backward-compatibility issues would get flagged. Thanks for any insights.
