How can I automatically change all the remaining parts into full 4/4 measures when I split the first measure?
I'd like to split the first 4/4 measure into 1/4 measure plus 4/4 measures for all the remaining notes. I've followed the instruction of Handbook but have no idea how to change all the remaining notes into 4/4 measures. Please do help me how. I'd appreciate it.

Add a new measure at the start, then right click it, go to Measure properties and in Measure duration change the actual to 1/4. Apply changes and the measure will turn into a 1/4 measure, but the other ones will stay 4/4 and you can put the note into the first measure. Hope this helps

Thank you for your advice. I am working with a MuseScore file that I created a couple of years ago. When I split the first 4/4 measure, moving the first note to the first measure, it becomes a 1/4 measure, while the second measure turns into a 3/4 measure. The remaining measures stay as 4/4. I want to automatically change all the measures starting from the second one to 4/4 until the end of the score after I have moved the first note to the first measure comprised of the first note only.

I suspect your not describing exactly what you want to do clearly enough.
Are you saying you notated a piece putting the anacrusis on beat one rather than the last beat of a pick up bar and to correct it you now want to move every note of the entire piece back one beat?

Sorry for having caused you confusion. Please look at my image file for your easy understanding.

Insert a measure, modified it to be a 1/4 ana crusis. Select the entire score except there new first measure, cut, select the 1st measure, paste.
Now optionally make the last measure one beat shorter
This sub-forum (Made with Musescore) is intended to be used to show off what you've scored with MuseScore. You would probably be better off posting this elsewhere. In this case, likely the
