Help with formatting
Hey Everyone,
I can't figure why the lines on page three are so far apart compared to the other two pages. I'm sure I hit a wrong button somewhere. Thanks!

The computer I installed 4.5.1 on died, so I can't see your score. Something to try, however: Select the range of measures that are "so far apart". In fact, select one or two measures before the problem begins and after it ends. Press Ctrl+R to reset them. This resets the formatting of all selected items and MAY fix your problem.
Good luck!!!

Hey thank you Hutch, but regrettably that did nothing.

I think I have solved the problem by removing the setting of the button "Setting ON the Vertical alignment of the staff ". I was just marking the button " Vertical alignment of staff setting to OFF". I am very sorry, i have a german version of MuseScore and I do not know exactly the expression used to define the 2 buttons. See my screenshot and corrected score.
Try Format >Style>Page>Disable vertical justification of staves.
or Format>Style>Page and set Max. system distance to 11.0sp.

Thanks Underquark,
That seems to have done the trick! I just had to change the top margin as well and the max system distance to 9. I wonder how all that got changed in the first place. Thank you, Thank you!!

The default value for Max system distance is "32.0". IOW, it never got changed.
Personally, I wish there were an additional field in that part of the settings: something along the line of "Max system distance on last page". IOW, let the system distance be calculated automagically on pages 1 through [n-1], but on page [n] (the last page), it would never go larger than this value.

Got ya, I just figured I hit something to make that happen. Thank you for the clarification, AND the help making it right!
