Adding a dotted note... Is this the expected behaviour ?

In MU3.x when I want to add a dotted eight-note, I used to
1. press "N" (enter into edit mode)
2. press "4" (for eight note)
3. press "." (for dot augmentation).

Well, in MU4.5.x, when I press the "." it changes the previous note duration and moves to the next one. And it doesn't change the default duration to dotted eight note.

Is this the new 4.5.x expected behaviour ?
