Delete first two of three lyric-verses
I have MuseScore version 1.3 Revision 5702
I have a score with three lyric-verses on a treble-only clef.
I want to delete the first two verses and
move the third verse to the the first lyric-verse-position.
There should be an easy way to do such a simple operation, but
I don't know how. Can someone tell me?
Comments
Hold down the Ctrl key and using the mouse, click on the syllables to be deleted;
When they are highlighted (blue), press Delete.
To move the third verse see http://musescore.org/en/node/23764
Or repeat step one and two;
Hold down Ctrl and drag to position
I did all the removing of the individual syllables of verses 1 and 2.
I moved each syllable of verse 3 up to approximate verse 1 position.
But it still thinks there are 3 verses because when I use Cntl-L,
it wants to put the Lyrics in verse 4 position.
I should have just started over. Ridiculous!

is positioned on the line number four you can use up arrow. It should move to the first line.

I just check that one can take a snapshot of a lyrics line, delete the orphan 3d line, and paste the snapshot as an image.
But it's just a trick.
However type in 1st line lyrics yet typed in 3d line is rather fast.....

MuseScore could definitely use a lyrics editor for stuff like this. It's on the list to consider some day. See #16189: Text editor for chord symbols, song text
