- On windows install asio4all and in MuseScore -> Preferences -> I/O -> Portaudio -> ASIO -> ASIO4allv2
- Restart MuseScore.
- Play
- Close MuseScore
Expected result: MuseScore process is stopped.
Actual result : MuseScore window is closed but mscore.exe remains in Task Manager
Comments
This is happening to me on windows xp without ASIO with the latest pre-release version. Settings are all default settings on io tab. When using file/quit MuseScore window closes but the mscore process remains in task manager and must be forced to close. i have had as many as 4 or 5 separate mscore processes active from previous sessions that had never closed.

Keith, the latest prerelease version quits properly for me on Windows XP. Could you open a new topic on the forums with a screenshot of your I/O tab? Maybe we can narrow down your problem before adding a final report to the issue tracker.

This is a really old bug report (12 years old). Musescore (3.6) is no longer supported on XP. It should be safe to close this issue.
