Shortening bar kills note

I don't know if it is a bug or intended, but when I shorten a bar to less than the first note's duration, the first note disappears (Musescore 2.0 Beta 2).

Steps to reproduce:
1. have a 4/4 bar.
2. enter 1/4 note and lyrics for it.
3. shorten 4/4 bar to 1/8.

Result: 1/8 break, no lyrics.
Expected result: 1/8 note, lyrics.
