Incorrect beaming across measures

The "middle of beam" tool incorrectly beams across the measure when only notes within a measure are selected.

Steps:
1) New score, any clef, 3/4
2) Note entry, eight notes
3) enter 7 eight notes (6 in 1st measure, 1 in 2nd measure)
4) multi-select the first 6 notes (or just select entire 1st measure)
5) Double-click "middle of beam" under Beam Properties in palette

Result
In 0.9.6 rev 2674, instead of the 6 selected notes beamed together, it beams 7 notes (incorrectly crossing the measure line)

Expected Result
In 0.9.5 rev 2012, it correctly beams only the selected 6 notes
