Notes not properly placed

I am using MuseScore 2.0 Beta on Windows 7. I have entered a number of songs with no problem. However, I came back to continue working on a song for piano, and an attempt to enter notes on the treble clef staff are entered one note lower. I also adjusted general style settings for the page, and have set them all back to default, but the problem still exists. Any suggestions? Thanks!
