Paying an Edirol PC-50 midi keyboard with MuseScore

• Nov 14, 2008 - 15:28

Hello,

I am new to Linux, but would dearly love to use an Edirol PC-50 keyboard with it, as the computer battery life is extremely good, so no power cables needed. I am running Ubuntu 8.04. The keyboard works without problem using the Roland driver and Sonar under XP.

Could you please tell me - can I plug in the keyboard and play music with your program, or do i need other software as well?

Here are some outputs after plugging in the keyboard which might be useful to those who know about these things!

I cannot see what your problem is. Any midi port visible to ALSA should work with mscore. Switch the midi symbol in the mscore toolbar to on and you should be able to enter notes with your keyboard.
