Allow eighth notes to be grouped by twos instead of fours
I transcribe lots of drumset music in musescore, and as much as I love the program one of the things that drives me crazy is the auto beaming behavior. By default musescore groups all eighth notes in groups of four. I have been playing and teaching drumset most of my life and this is simply not how drum music is notated. Eighth notes are grouped by two's in 4/4 time because there are two eighth notes per beat, 16th notes are grouped by fours. Now before we get distracted by what the proper format for notating drums is lets just agree that there is simply no way for me to tell musescore that I have a preference for eighth notes to be grouped by twos instead of fours. As such I have to spend a bunch of time going through and changing the beaming properties of all the eighth notes to get them formatted correctly. Is there a way that we can add an option for changing the default grouping size of eighth notes, maybe in the style section?

If you would like your drum staves beamed in twos, simply right click the time signature, Time Signature Properties, and set up the beaming however you like.
Oh hey! I had no idea. Cheers!!!
