Just select them all and double click the icon in the Note Heads palette. That works for both 1.3 and 2.0. For 2.0, you can also use "Head group" setting in the Inspector, although if you've selected a range rather than individual notes, you'll need to restrict the selection to just the notes, such as by pressing the "Notes" button first.
