Tremolos on Strings

The tremolo effect on strings instruments is a little... unusual. The sound might be a little odd, true, but the more important problem is that the notes that are affected by the tremolo get a little glitchy, lasting over a measure over their written duration and almost sounding like some sort of "feedback" is happening. I don't think that is how the tremolo is intended to sound.
