Launching Musescore - thread seems to take system priority
On launching Musescore in 64-bit Windows 7 SP1 on Core i5 8GB RAM lenovo T420...
...the application thread seems to take priority over other system threads, resulting in the host machine appearing to 'hang' for several seconds.
Once Musescore has launched, priority is relinquished and other system processes can continue.
Request:
As per other applications, Musescore application launch should assume an 'in-the-background' status, allowing the host machine to continue presenting the OS GUI to the user and allowing them the ability to perform other tasks while Musescore is launching.

See if this may speed things up:
Open MuseScore and go to menu item File / Preferences, then on the General tab in the Program Start section uncheck 'Show start center'.
Apply the changes, then OK to save.
(You can also uncheck 'Show spalsh screen'.)
Regards.

Seems to speed things up for subsequent launches after the initial one (i.e. the first one after booting up/logging in to the machine).
Still making everything hang on the very first launch of the day.
Hmmm....
