Set the voice in a staff
Hi!
Is there an easy way to set (change) the voice of a staff. What I mean is when I create a new piano score and I want to use another voice in the F-clef staff then I select all measures and choose Edit->Voice->Exchange Voice X-Y. Is there an easier way to do this?

Could you explain why you want to "set a voice" for a staff instead of using voice 1?
For example if I have a SATB with two staffs, then I would like to separate the human voices into different voices in MuseScore.

I recommend you use voice 1 and voice 2 on the treble staff and use voice 1 and voice 2 on the bass clef. There is no reason to use voice 3 and 4 for the bass clef. Is that what you are trying to do?

Yes, that's what I'm doing. But do voices only have one function, and that being direction of the stem? Because I would like to have the possibility to organize SATB in two and four staffs without having to write it twice. And then I thought of writing every human voice into a MuseScore-voice. How would I do it otherwise (SATB -> two and four staffs)?

The voice numbering is on a staff-by-staff basis so there in advantage to using voices 3 and 4 by themselves.
If you later decide to expand to four staves see http://musescore.org/en/node/3518

Okey, I didn't know that voice numbering is on a staff-by-staff basis. That changes alot. But the procedure you gave in the link is a quite long and winding road to the result... I would really like if I could just select all notes of voice-X and copy them to another staff. Or to split the staff and voices into two or more staffs with one voice on each staff. That shouldn't be too hard to implement, or?
