Move "Measure Numbers" in Style>General>Header, Footer, Numbers to Style>General>Measure
This is a request to move Measure Numbers options from Header, Footer, Numbers to Measure in the Edit General Style menu.
I think this would make it easier to find the options for measure numbers since they are "measure" numbers. Not that it's much of a problem, but I think it's not very logical to have measure number option with header and footer options.
If this is something that people think the same about, then I'll create a issue to track this feature request.
Give your thoughts, please.

I agree it seems odd to have measure numbers lumped with header & footer, and your suggestion makes sense to me.

Thanks Marc. Since no one else seems to have any thoughts on this, I'll go ahead and create a feature request issue for this.
I don't really see a problem with it where it is—after all, the section has Numbers in its name, so it's unlikely that people will really not know where to find measure number controls.
Here's an example of something that really could be a problem, though: if you were looking to make the staff lines in your score thicker, one place you would probably not expect to find the option would be Style > General… > Measure. But that's where it is.
Also, there's inconsistency in the names of the different sections as to whether they're plural or singular—"Measure" and "Barlines" are just one example. It should be either "Measure" and "Barline" or "Measures" and "Barlines."
But then there's the bigger inconsistency—the name of the window as a whole is "MuseScore: Edit Style," which is not at all parallel to "MuseScore: Edit Text Styles."
And on a similar note, the menu option View > Palette is totally wrong—it should be View > Palettes, or maybe even View > Workspace.
Sorry, is this too much? I've been thinking about some of these for a long time without bringing them up. When I seemed to find a thread with a related idea, I jumped at the chance.
Oh, and see also the things I brought up at https://musescore.org/en/node/57656 —they've been really bothering me.

They are *all* worth bringing up. Maybe would be good to go through systematically and look at all of these. It gets done periodically, then things change, etc.
But as for the origina topic, one issue I have with Numbwers being lumped in with Header & footer is that depending on the width of the dialog and its pane on your particular system, the word "Numbers" might not appear. By default, I see "Header, Footer, Nu...". That could be partially a quirk of my display and use of the "-x" option to scale sizes, but no matter - I don't like burying important information that deep into a name, especially when it's non-obvious that there is a connection.

Hmm. That's not an issue for me, but "Chord Symbols, Fretboard …" is. (Is the last word "Diagrams"?) Now I'm thinking, why isn't it possible to resize things in that window, as in drag the divider between the sidebar and the window contents? Is this another feature request?
In reply to Hmm. That's not an issue for by Isaac Weiss
Yes, I think resizing would be good.
But "Fretboards" is one I specifically had in mind when I said "especially when it's non-obvious that there is a connection". In this case, it's much more obvious. Even if the word "fretboard diagrams" didn't appear at all, this would still be the natural place to look. Not so for measure numebrs on the header / footer tab.

I was basically saying that, even though I can see all of "Header, Footer, Numbers," I can see how the issue could exist.
