Guitar tab sheet music file not opening, and crashing Musescore
Hi,
I was playing around with producing a guitar tab version of the Star Wars Theme, and I created it with the Beta version of 2.0. But since installing the official version of Musescore 2, every time I try to open the file, it shuts down Musescore. I tried uploading the file to the site, and it seems there's a problem with the file. Any chance anyone can help get back what's in the file, to save me some time?
Thanks,
Chris

The message you see when you load it into 2.0 tells you exactly what and where the problem is - measure 6. So, hit the "Ignore" button to load the file despite the error, and you can see something is very wrong between measures 5 & 7. Without knowing *exactly* what went wrong, the simply solution is to select the whole range from 5-7, Ctrl+Delete to remove those measures completely, then insert new ones and re-enter the music.
EDIT, hmm, you say it crashes for you? Doesn't for me. Here is the version with those measures removed.

Hi Marc,
Thanks for the edited mscz file. At least I can just add the bars back in and carry on. But to be precise about the 'crash'. When I open up Musecore, then try and open my original file, I get a window saying 'Musescore has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution' and then after a couple of seconds: 'Musescore has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. WIndows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.' (See attached images.)
Not that it's a big deal now that I have the edited file, but I'm surprised that your version of Muescore can tell you where the problem is in the score. I'm using Muescore 2.0.1 although I have 1.3 still on the computer too.
Thanks for your help,
Chris

I guess Marc is using a development version, or the crash is Windows specific (2.0.1 on Windows crashes for me too, when opening that score and indeed a current development build can open it, with a warning)
