Cross over to 2.0
Software 2.0 is shown exclusively (to download) if you access the webpage for Musescore. I have so far only used 1.3 so I'm interested in what happens now.
1. Is the 1.3 handbook now in archive?
2. And is the official or only handbook now 2.0?
3. If I download software for 2.0, will that software be saved/installed separate from existing 1.3?
4. Can existing files in 1.3 be accessed by 2.0?
5. Is there a danger of overwriting 1.3 files by 2.0 if they are accessed using 2.0?
Can someone please help?
Thanks
Reg Collier

1. and 2. The current handbook is at https://musescore.org/en/handbook, but the old handbook can still be accessed at https://musescore.org/en/node/279.
3. I assume you mean plugins? The answer is yes.
4. Yes, but the reverse is not true.
5. Only if you save it with the same name to the same location.
By the way, you actually don't have to uninstall MuseScore 1.x in order to instal MuseScore 2. They can coexist without affecting each other at all.
Many thanks
I'm not sure what you mean by plugins? My concern was that the two versions of software will be separate and I believe that you answered that question by your last sentence - referring to 'no need to uninstall'. So I believe 2.0 will download and then exist separately from 1.3? Is that correct?

Yes for Windows and Mac OS. Probably "it depends" for Linux (depends on how it was packaged, I assume).
