Playback is silent on Mac OS X 10.10

Playback of the written score is suddenly silent on my Mac running the latest system software. It DID work with this new system but mysteriously stopped for no apparent reason. Has anyone else had the same problem and is there a fix?

I'm using a late 2009 iMac 27" I have Boom installed but quitting Boom hasn't helped.

Could you post a screen capture of the View > Synthesizer? Is there a soundfont loaded? When you play do you see the cursor moving? The vumeter in Synthesizer is moving?

Thanks for the suggestions. It was enough to make me see that something had gone seriously wrong with MuseScore (possibly caused by something else) so my solution was to delete MuseScore and all of it's support files. I downloaded a new copy of the latest stable release (2.0.1) and now it's all good.
