Musescore 2.0.1 Installation does not create an INI file
When I install MuseScore 2.0.1 and open it I cannot view the mixer.
Reading various forum posts it appears there might be a fix associated with manipulating the INI file.
However my installation does not appear to create an INI file....I've looked in both my local and roaming profile folders to no avail and done a global search at the C:\ root level.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing using both the Windows and a 3rd party uninstaller to ensure all registry and files are cleaned up prior to re-installing.
Is there an installation log I can look at to try and diagnose why there isn't an INI file?
Any suggestions on how to proceed would be welcome.

An ini file is created when MuseScore quits for the first time. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings-0

I close this issue.
I'm afraid your statement doesn't hold true in my case. I have closed MuseScore on a number of occasions and looked for an ini file on my PC but there is nothing...
Are you sure to have enabled visibility of hidden files?
Yes - all options are unhidden.
I've attached a screen shot of the file view, search options plus the search results when I search for *.ini and look at the results for files starting with 'Mu'
It should be C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\MuseScore\ as MuseScore2.ini for MuseScore 2.0 and 2.0.1, and as MuseScoreDevelopment.ini for the nightly builds.
Unless, of course, if you're using the Portable App...
Thanks for the feedback.
No I'm using the full build of MuseScore.
There is no 'MuseScore' folder in that location....!

But the program starts up and closes fine with no crashes? If you make changes to some settings in Edit / Preferences, are these remembered the next time?
Is it possible somehow the permissions are messed up in your AppData folder?
No crashes and I can edit an MSCZ file OK
Permissions on my profile folder are set to full control for me, local and domain admins of which I am a member anyway - and system.

What about preferences? Are changed to preferences remembered when closing MuseScore and restarting it? For example, try changing the Program Start option to "Start empty". Is that remembered next time you start MuseScore, or does it continue to start with "My First Score" (assuming it currently does)?
