Linux Mint 17, MS 2.0.1 - Chorus not reduceable - Menuepanel to small

I have used MS 1.3 before and had a lot of help to install 2.0.1
Now its running but:

How can I reduce the reverb and chorus? Using the Mixer-Buttons brings no result.

Is it possible to enlarge the buttons, tabs, words used in the program-window such as File, Edit, View in the Menue-Panel?

My English is, as my knowledge about Linux on a pretty low level. So will you be so gentle to tell me about small steps with simple words in short sentences

Reverb and chorus in Mixer are for MIDI output only. To reduce reverb chorus in the built in synthesizer:

1) View / Synthesizer
2) Master Effect
3) Output - move toward "Dry"

The size of the text used in MuseScore depends on your default font settings in Linux. So you will have to ask someone who knows about your particular version of Linux, and the particular window manager you are using.
