Playback problems
Hello,
I run self-compiled MuseScore 0.9.6.1 version on 32-bit Fedora. Everything was OK for some time but now I have problem with playback. Namely, after some 4-5 measures playback is going to be very cracky, noisy, and is slowing down. Jack shows many XRUNS on the messege screen. Something like this:
JackAudioDriver::ProcessAsync Process error
JackEngine::XRun: client = Mscore1 was not run: state = 1
JackAudioDriver::ProcessAsync Process error
JackEngine::XRun: client = Mscore1 was not run: state = 1
JackAudioDriver::ProcessAsync Process error
Many times....
The playback is totally out of synchronization with cursor on the screen. The problem occured after some system updates - I am not sure how is it related, but for sure there were some kernel packeges updates.
I run mscore in debugg mode and I send the terminal info in separate txt file.
Best regards,
Piotr

Do you really need to send MuseScore output though Jack?

I am not sure I understand what you mean.

MuseScore does not require Jack for playback. Check edit->preferences->I/O and uncheck Jack. Choose Portaudio instead

I change to Portaudio and the playback is a bit better, I mean, it doesn't slow down. However, the sound quality is no good - it's cracky. I am not sure that it the problem with Jack, because other sound applications, i.e. Rosegarden work without problems. I also reinstalled MuseScore, and tried version 0.9.6 and 0.9.6.1 rpm package from the net, but the problem persist.
Anyway, thanks for help.
Best regards,
Piotr
It looks that the problem was caused by other application. I uninstalled cairo-dock and now MuseScore is working well. I think it's all in this subject.
