deleting a created time signature

Musescore 0.9.6.2 - Windows Vista Win 7, 64 bit

I created a time signature, now I want to erase it from the table.

But there seems to be no erasure option.

I explored all of the subdirectories in the Musescore directory to no avail.

So I completely removed Musescore from my computer, including the downloaded file' and removed all cookies etc.

The I downloaded and reinstalled Musescore afresh, but the errant time sigature was still present!

Any help or suggestions welcome
