Most likely something is wrong in your installation and MsueScore cannot access the necessary audio drivers. What OS, what are your settings in Edit / Preferences / I/O?

In the future, please use the Support forum to ask for help. The issue tracker is for reporting confirmed bugs only. And also, the "Assigned" field is for the person who will fix the bug, not the person who reported it. I have unassigned you because I am assuming you are not volunteering to join the development team and fix this yourself :-)

You responded to a 3 year old post that probably has a different root problem. Revert may or may not have fixed this back then.
