Segno confusion
Hi guys, new user here!
After many years of making music, I have decided to teach myself how to read sheet music properly using musescore.
I am entering a score quite nicely, however the score I am entering requires D.S (with repeats) al Coda. The nearest thing I found was D.S al Coda, so I used that with an appropriate Segno pair.
My problem is that the first time through, it will play the simple repeats properly, reach the end of the part and branch back to the Segno. The second time around the loop, it will only play each repeat block once.
Am I misunderstanding the notation, or is this behaviour correct?
Comments
It's common practice do don't play the repeats after a DS. The current version of MuseScore follows this practice.

Ok, so I should unroll the original repeats then. Hope the copy + paste is up to it, as there are more than a couple of bars being repeated :)
Would it be appropriate for me to add such a notation to musescore as I'm a coder with time on my hands?

If you have time in your hand there is a lot to do on MuseScore !
You can find more info about MuseScore [[nodetitle:development]] on the website and you can join the developer IRC channel ( #musescore on freenode.net) or the dev mailing list to chat about what you plan to do.
