Won't delete 4 lead in measures

I selected the 1st 4 measures of a 5 staff score, holding down shift key from top left measure to bottom right measure. Then I used edit pull down to cut, and it did't cut the measures.

I think it is a bug. Should be easy to delete or cut measures.

perhaps it would be better to use the forums ...
Here on Vista Ctrl + Del works

Indeed, cut (Ctrl+X) deletes the *content* of the measures, in preparation for a paste elsewhere. Edit / Measure / Delete Selected Measures (Ctrl+Delete) deletes the measures themselves.
