MuseScore erases notes when we change the first measure size
Hi, gang!!!
I don't know if it's a bug or some "in purpose" behaviour but, when we have some first measure, which doesn't have all the notes it should have, for example a 3/4 tempo measure with just the last quarter note (third beat), and we change it (with the measure properties dialog) to get a real 1/4 tempo, then MuseScore erases all notes (all voices and instruments) of that measure.
Is there a way to avoid this? ???
Thanks a lot for your time!!!
Greetings & Blessings from Chile!!!!!!!

MuseScoren's delete all notes - only as many as it has to. If the measure starts out 3/4 and you change it to 1/4, then two beats are going to have to be deleted - otherwise it isn't 1/4, it's still 3/4! I guess maybe the way you did things it might just happen to be the case that you wanted to delete the first two beats and keep the last, but other situations, you would want to keep the first beat and delete the last two - which is what MuseScore does.
Anyhow, if you happen to want to keep the last note, simply use Ctrl+X to cut it then paste it back after changing the time signature

Why not to add a dialog box to tell MuseScore what beats we want to erase and what we want to save? ???

Why have yet another dialog box? Opening it and filling out the options would be at least as much work as the dead-simple cut and paste operation I just described.
