Importing etc
I am trying to arrange a particular song for the choir I sing with. I have downloaded a Acrobat document of the accompaniment. Is there any way of importing or copy/pasting it onto the musescore document or will I have to add it all manually?

I assume you mean a .pdf document when you say Acrobat. As far as an easy way, the answer is no. There are complicated work-arounds that someone else may be able to address, but as far as importing the file through or opening the file directly in MuseScore, no, it's not possible.

you could try PDFtoMusic Pro.
"PDFtoMusic Pro rebuilds the original score, and exports it for instance into MusicXML format, useable in most of the professional score editors"
You can run it in trial mode, exporting pages one by one only - but working very well with non scanned pdf files.
