Changing duration of caesuras
Hi friends, while working on a little Violin Concerto of Vivaldi this morning, I wanted to add a caesura in a measure. The problem was that the caesura lasted horribly long. I wondered if there was a possibility to change the duration (for example by entering a certain time) of a caesura and started a thread in the german forum. Jojo answered me, that there is no possibility to do that, but as far as he remembered there is something like that implemented in MuseScore, which only has to be fixed in the palettes, and he thought it might be a good idea to ask for this topic here. Would there be any possibility to add such a feature? Would be really great. Thanks

Meanwhile ... I do not know if can work the trick that came to my mind:
One could enter the caesura with (Z) Master Palette;
Add a Fermata on the rest before the cesura and from Inspector set Time Stretch to 0,10?
My impression is that indeed, the only thing missing for support of variable length of caesura is actually providing the user interface. Probably it should be an Inspector setting. Meanwhile, it should actually be *possible* to get this with some work - create a custom worksapce (use "+" button at bottom of Palettes window), save the relevant palette, edit it by hand in a text editor to change the pause duration, then load that palette again. Something like that, anyhow.

Glad I remembered this right (in https://musescore.org/de/node/78226#comment-355026) ;-)
Thanks to those answering my question. Sorry for the late feedback. Unfortunately that thing with creating a new workspace didn't quite work (maybe I'm too stupid ;-) ). But I found a solution which works quite good too (editing beats in a measure and hidden rests). Takes a little longer, but it works.
