Stuttering Playback
On one score , it always stutters at a point.
FluidR3_GM is fine - seems to be TimGM6mb.
Using 0.9.6.3 and 10.4.11.

It plays fine for me. It depends on the capabilities of the computer.

Thanks.
I just read your response to someone else coincidentally having the same problems (at the same time).
Upon getting more memory, it plays fine.
Not sure if it's necessary, but perhaps there could be a note somewhere if people should have similar trouble?

The manual sort of mentioned this already when it suggests using a smaller SoundFont if your computer can't keep up. I added some extra text to address the issue of stuttered playback more directly. See the "Troubleshooting" section of SoundFont in the handbook.

Great :)
Hey folks,
I read through the user manual online and through the comments in the forums on playback stutter. We have two laptops, an i5 and an i7 running Windows 7. They both have 6GB of memory. Playback of "Reunion" (the sample that comes with MuseScore) on the i7 is fine. Playing on the i5 causes all kinds of stutter hinkiness! It will play the first couple of bars fine and then go south from there. It's like it has a major echo with the stuttering. I haven't tried a new soundfont just yet because I'm wondering if something else could be causing this issue. Other than the processor speed, it seems that we have similar setup...unless its the sound card. I'm using the default soundfont that comes with MuseScore. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Kevin

Check Display -> Synthesizer and increase/decrease the reverb.
