Switch to the Advanced workspace using the dropdown menu at the bottom of the Palette window, then you'll see the Bagpipe Embellishments palette.

Seems, that there are some difficulties with bagpipe "gracenotes". Online-handbook show's up the possibillity - that's all. It does not tell, how to use that feature, and, as far as I see, there might be some problems with that.

I'll add a download from there to this thread, too - with some sounding example of "bagpiping". Hope, it might show you how to get around.

Maybe, the following links might help to find out more on "Bagpipe embellishments and how to use them"?

(I'm NO Recruiting Sergeant - Just read /download the scores: "Some say, the devil's dead, the devil's dead, the devil's dead, Some say, the devil's dead, and burried in Killarney. - Some say, he rose again, he rose again, he rose again, - Some say, he rose again - and joined the British Army!" - Irish Folk Song - )

By the way: Do you know, why the Romans built that "Hadrian's Wall" in Britannia? As their legions marched AD 49 (under reign of Claudius) to Caledonia and for that had to cross the river Tyne, it is told that about 600 bagpipers approached them, coming out of the caledonian forest. Then the Romans turned around immediatly, went back over the river - and started building the Hadrian's wall behind them! B^)
.
Have fun, and: Set the music free!
Sincerely

The "Bagpipe Embellishments" palette is just like all other palettes - click a note in your score, double click the palette icon to apply it. You can also drag it from the palette directly to the desired note.

PS. For some more "Bagpiping with MuseScore", you might see https://musescore.org/en/node/83401. Both Scores - "The Battle of the Somme" and "Highland Laddie" - can be found on armycadets.com, where you could find some Percussion-Notes, too.
