"Floating" text?
Is it possible to add text onto the image without it being associated with a note or any specific function of the score?
I think you can do this in Cubse - score - just add a bit of useful into in a blank area of the page.
Can't seem to find an equivalent here
Thanks

You can add a frame and text in the frame.

Well, I guess that will work ok in some instances, but occasionally you just want to superimpose some instruction or thought which is not a conventional direction, and needs to go in a random place. Might be a nice feature to add?
Thanks

You know that you can drag a text anywhere?

No - I didn't!
I've just spent two hours trying to work out how to bring the chord names down nearer the stave and was just about to ask.
Simple - that solves two problems, Thanks!

Go to >Style>Edit Text style>scroll down to chordnames.
There you will find x/y co-ordinates for altering chordname position globally.

Yes, I'd found that, but when I clicked 'Apply' nothing happened.
I've just moved them down by dragging. Works fine
I must say I do like Musescore. Nice program.
Thanks

There are still some bugs that appear when parameters are changed. Once you have set the global size you want, apply, okay and then you will have to save and reload for the changes to appear. If you go to "reload" in the file menu, it will ask if you want to save the file. Click yes. Your changes should appear.
