Is it possible to change the splash screen?
Is it possible to change the MuseScore splash screen without recompiling? A *.bmp, *.png or something else which could be changed?

Why would you want to do this? You can deactivate the splash screen display in Preferences -> General

To distinguish the portable version from the local version. At the moment my portable version has 2 splash screens and normally there is just one (which makes most sense). Sure, I can deactivate the MuseScore splash screen and just use the other, but the MuseScore splash screen is better. It stays as long as MuseScore is loading and the other one for a time specified.

I never tried but you should be able to edit the mscore.exe file with a resource editor such as http://www.resedit.net/
and get/set the splash.jpg file.
