Fiddle (Violin) : need to show two of the same notes in the same place for double stops
Good day. What I am trying to do is this: I need to score two "A" notes, played at the same time, for the same note duration. Every time I enter the second note, it is absorbed by the first note and is not displayed. On the Fiddle ( Violin ) I can play the open "A" and on the lower D string, play another "A".[ much like when tuning a guitar ] Thus having two identical notes. Is there a work around?
Thanks to all.

You may try to use 2 different "voices" for the double notes. See the handbook chapter about voices: //musescore.org/en/handbook/voices .

If you already use two voices and you want to dissociate the noteheads, double click the notehead and use the left of right key to move it, then click somewhere else.

Between the two responses, I have a solution. I drop a new note. then Note Properties, then make the head direction Not Automatic, but "Left" , then move the note up into position.
Again, great software, thanks for the help!
