Puppy Port?
Has Musescore 9.6.3 been ported to Puppy. If so, how can I obtain the file and install? If not, what options are available.

That's a version of Linux, right? Look here on the download page. There are several versions for different flavors of Linux, and one of them might work. If memory serves, Puppy is a very stripped down version, so you may need to scroll to the bottom of the page where the requirements are and download the components needed for a Linux version to run.
I know nothing of Linux, nor have I ever used it, so I don't know if MuseScore compiled for one flavor will work on another, but if not, you may look into compiling it yourself.

Right you are. I am new to both Linux and Musescore, but Puppy looks so good I thought I would give it a try. Someone did port an older version of MS to a puppy pet, but when I installed it in version 5.2 of Puppy it did not work. Not sure where the problem lies. If someone could port the latest version of MS that would be great. I don't have the skills.

I don't know how the Puppy community works but you would have more luck asking for a port on their forum or their website. There is apparently a dedicated Puppy distrib for Music labs that can be interested to do the port. Contact the guys at http://pupitup.org/
