Will Vienna symphonic Library work with Musescore?
I wondered whether this will work and whether you can produce different organ registrations by combining the stops in VSL.

The only way to use a VST plugin (such as VSL) is to put it a JACK compatible DAW. VSL will not work directly with MuseScore.
If you need help with setting up Jack - come back here.
I am now beginning to understand what needs to be done to configure Jack on Windows, and hopefully can advise you.
