Fuzzy playback when pedalling
I am currently transcribing some classical piano scores onto Musescore version 2 and there is this really annoying thing going on with the playback. Whenever the score hits an extended passage with pedal, the sound then starts to fuzz and get slower which of course is really annoying when I am proof checking to see if everything sounds correct. It is only the case when the score is open in the offline software. When viewing scores on the Musescore website there is no problem. What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks in advance!

You can try https://musescore.org/en/handbook/revert-factory-settings-0

I have tried that but that didn't work. Any other suggestions?
What OS (operating system) are you running?
You wrote: "...the sound then starts to fuzz and get slower..."
Are you saying that the actual play back tempo decreases?
Posting the actual score - or the relevant passage - would help so we can see if it is peculiar to your system, or if it is reproducible by others.
Also, see:

to perhaps try a different soundfont with better play back.
Regards.

Yes, the playback tempo decreases as well as producing this unpleasant sound. I am using windows OS. I am currently in the process of making a video of the issue. I will upload it as soon as I can.
Here is a video link to the playback problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66aUk_ZDGFo

Ciao Friedrich, maybe it would be preferable to attach here the score, use the "File attachments" option at the bottom of the page, just above the Save and Preview buttons when you're typing your post.

waiting for some better response, to me it seems quite normal, can you upgrade to 2.0.2? And also try a nightly?

In the event that there are some corrupt measures try to insert some new (Alt + Shift + B) to replace them

Will do. Have you watched the linked video?

Yes, I attach files saved(2.0.2) / exported so you can control them

Hmmm...
I'm running Windows 10 and your file, Fuzzy Playback.mscz, sounds fine. It does not distort as in your video.

Works fine for me too. What soundfont are you using? I'm guessing your CPU and/or RAM simply cannoy keep up with the demands.

Now that you mention it, there is something in the handbook that says something about some computers not being able to keep up with some soundfronts. I'll look into that a bit more. Thanks for the help.
