Version 1.0 uses the standard system navigator of ma system (Gnome, Ubuntu 10.04)
That's much more comfortable than the use of a specific (or elsewhere borrowed) navigator.
So I request that Version 2 shift from such navigator to the system one.
in rev. 4937 its configurable in preferences. If you want to use your system file dialogs check "native file dialogs".
For me the new file dialogs are much more useful than the system (KDE) ones. What i need most is a quick access to the current working directory. Also for new users its easy to show common places for different file types on the left panel.
For example the location of the demo files are shown in the "open score" dialog.
