Enable localized "Getting Started" tutorial translations
As can be seen at https://musescore.com/groups/getting-started-translations, the well-known Getting_Started.mscz is now being translated into more and more languages. First of all, I have to say this makes me happy. But second, this raises the question of putting in place a system to use a different translated version depending on the localization settings, and whether or how this can be implemented.
As of this posting, there are already French, Russian, Dutch, and two different Spanish versions (which we can sort out later).

At first I thought it would not be simple but the solution was staring me in my face. I'll hack something together.
Hi there, according to the release notes, we should now have localized versions of the getting started page in MuseScore 2.0.3.
How does it work? As my system does not show the localized version, it does not even show any version! Something related appears in the sidebar (right pane) in the Start Center, but in the main part of the window (left pane) only the start new score option shows.
I did use the "clear recent used list" and have tried a factory reset as well.
I am using it on a Windows 10 machine.
I upgraded to 2.0.3 from 2.0.2 and just downloaded the new version and installed it. I did not remove v2.0.2 first.
Hi Henk, the Start Center window features web content at the right. You need to be online to see this. This web content contains the Getting Started score. It's the localised version depending on the language of your MuseScore.
The steps to localise the Getting Started score:
1. Download the original English version of the Getting Started score
2. Open in the score in MuseScore and replace all English text with your translation
3. Upload the result to your online MuseScore account
4. Become a member of the Getting Started Transations group, if you are not already
4. Add your localised Getting Started score to the Getting Started Translations group
5. Post a discussion in the group stating that you localised the Getting Started score, while stating your language.
If questions, please post a discussion in the Getting Started Transations group or in the translators forum.
It seems to me 'to be online' as from 'Save online' (MsS.com) or the english version will be loaded
edit: 'to be online' unnecessary
The translation is indeed loaded directly from Transifex. Normally this is rather instant, but you are stating you are seeing the English version in the first second(s). I'll see what I can do to make the process faster/smoother.
Okay, so I was expecting it to show in the left pane. The right pane contains the dutch text for the getting started score, however when I click it loads the english version.
And as per previous comment from Shoichi, if I wait a little while (few seconds) in the start center before clicking then I get the dutch version.
Ok, let me reopen the issue. The translations should be indeed loaded in faster. Having to wait a couple of seconds is not a good user experience.
Just another thing to add, while I notice the text changes from English to Dutch in 1-2 seconds clicking the score still loads the English version. Seems I have to wait for the start center to show another topic first (or manual click the Arrow) and then return back to the getting started page to load it in Dutch.
@Henk @Shoichi Could you both remind me which operating system you are using MuseScore on?

@Thomas, would you mind posting comment 6 (https://musescore.org/en/node/95856#comment-475431) to the group as a discussion?
