Low D tuning for classical guitar.

• Feb 3, 2016 - 16:20

Hi, new to Muse, but working on a score someone has already started. I need
to use the classical guitar with a low D 6th string. I have right clicked a
stave, found stave properties, adjusted the pitch of the 6th string to D2,
and clicked apply, which seems to set the strings, then click ok, go back to
the score, and the note D2 is still marked in red, and when i go back to
stave properties, the guitar has flipped back to standard tuning, though if I
click on the reset string box, it still says it is set to D2. Am I missing
something, or is the apply button not working? the instructions seem fairly
clear and I think I am following them correctly.

Are you taling about a tab or standard staff? The tuning information is relevant only for tab as far as I know. If your concern is about the warnings about out of range notes, that's separate - see the pitch range settings.

BTW, clicking Apply is nver necessary; it's assumed if you press OK. In fact, pressing Apply and then Cancel has undefined results; you are always suppsoed to hit OK.

If that doesn't solve your problem, please post the score you are having problems with and precise step by step instructions to reproduce the problem.
