Playback of strong accent on quaver
I am afraid I have to write a eighth note instead of a quaver when using a strong accent to get the desired sound on playback. Or am I missing something? I have attatched two snippets. One, how i should look like and the second how I managed to have it sound right. Does anyone have a hint for me?

A diminuendo in a single note is no quite what I want. I think the note should just sound shorter and it is a convention to notate a quaver instead of an eighth for clarity reason.

Just a trick:
First Voice made mute;
Second Voice invisible?

Staccato? That should have the desired effect on playback
I'm confused!
An eighth note is a quaver!
Are you by any chance referring to beamed/unbeamed quavers??

The picture seems to clarify that the OP meant crotchet
