Screen moves by itself, navigator not working properly

Every time my mouse moves over the score it moves. I have to click in the navigator box to go back to the music, but again every time I move my mouse over the score it disappears again. There isn't a problem with my mouse and my computer is working fine. I have Windows 7 and I downloaded the 1.0 version. Also, when I try to click on any of the drop down menus (file, edit, create, etc.) the will not stay down. I have to drag my mouse to whatever I want to click otherwise the menu disappears just as quickly as I clicked on it. Please help!!! I have an assignment due by 11pm, which will most definitely be late at this point, but I do need this program to work.

Sorry for the duplicate, bur I need help, so can you help me??? There is an apparent glitch and I can not figure it out and no one seems to know what to do. Should I download a different version???? I was happy that someone replied hoping that someone would actually have some advice instead it was a complaint to not pos t duplicate messages. Thanks.

Can you make a screencast of what happens? If developers can't reproduce it, it's impossible to fix. Use http://screenr.com to make a video of musescore. Put the screenr link as a comment on this issue.
